“This first-time collaboration between SCMR and Rochester City Ballet presents a brand new ballet based on the story of Anastasia.

This new interpretation of the historic tale of Anastasia will captivate audiences across generations. Accompanied by a dashing young man and an ex-officer, Anastasia travels to Paris with the hopes of being reunited with her grandmother, the Grand Duchess. Along the way she will meet new friends, experience new things, and find love in the most unexpected places.

Perfect for all ages, this brand new production features original choreography by RCB Artistic Directors Megan Kamler & Shannon Purpura paired with newly inspired music interpretations. The family-friendly production will feature the gorgeous music of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence as well as Glière along with the late Ukrainian composer, Hanna Havrylets.
