Lauren Tenney received her dance training at Ellison Ballet-Professional Training Program, Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, and Toledo Ballet School. In addition, Ms. Tenney spent her summers at Lexington Ballet, European Ballet, UK, North Carolina Dance Theatre, Ballet Met Columbus, and Toledo Ballet. She also received scholarships at Ellison Ballet Summer Intensive, Bolshoi Ballet Academy International Summer Intensive, and the Nutmeg Conservatory of the Arts International Summer Intensive. Prior to joining RCB, Ms. Tenney danced for three seasons at Lexington Ballet Company and performed in Cinderella, Swan Lake, Firebird, Satanella, and Giselle. She placed 3rd as a Contemporary Soloist and finished top 12 in Classical Semifinals at the Youth America Grand Prix International Competition. Ms. Tenney has performed various roles with Rochester City Ballet including the Snow Queen and English Toffee in The Nutcracker, Autumn Fairy in Cinderella, and in Jamey Leverett's Bravo! Colorado and in the world premiere of InCantation.
